Murnau.

These large format photographs were taken in Murnau (south of Munich, Germany). Both still lives depict scenes from the wetland. Taking these pictures with a large format camera (4x5) is a slow process. Setting the camera up, metering for the correct exposure and focusing takes at least 15 minutes. The final images are contact prints, developed in the darkroom. This again is a process of several iterations of dodging and burning with hand-cut masks aiming for the perfectly exposed picture.
